Located in Oltrepò Pavese, Tenuta Riccardi since 1912 produces quality wines obtained exclusively from the pressing of grapes selected in their vineyards in Valversa.
Riccardi family are a long-standing wine-growing tradition that already in the 1400s cultivated some plots of land in the territories of Bobbio.
In January 1906 Ernesto Riccardi, after the experience gained together with the other brothers, decided to create his own farm by buying part of the old possession of the Marquis Giorgi in Soriasco, near the medieval village.
In the first decades the company's activity is mainly focused on the cultivation of land for plow funds, grassland funds and pastures, even if there is no shortage of screwed funds.
It is from these funds planted with vines that during the harvest of 1912 the company vinified red wine for the first time.
Born in the early years of the '900, from the passion of the grandfather to tradition and genuine products, the company passes to the son who, united this passion to the first agricultural and then oenological expertise, guides it today making it a meeting point for lovers of good drink and good food, always supporting the motto "... that good wine is made only with good grapes".
Each vineyard has been meticulously designed by choosing the composition of the soil, the density of the plant, the forms of breeding (strictly without the use of fertilizers and chemical pesticides) and the best selection of vines and, is followed, until the full maturation of bunch, while the harvest and the first stages of vinification are carried out with due respect for nature, but also with the aid of cutting-edge technologies that preserve the genuineness of the final product, guaranteeing the highest organoleptic quality.
In 2009 ORODELPO® was born, a product line consisting of Croatina, Barbera, Cabernet, Pinot Nero, Riesling and Moscato.
In the following years, the ORODELPO® family has expanded: in addition to the initial wines are produced: Cabernet IGT without sulphites added in 2013, RICCARDINO® Rosso IGT without sulphites added in 2015 and PASSITO DI SORIASCO® Moscato Passito IGT in 2016.
The Chamber of Commerce of Pavia and Unioncamere have given the company the recognition of Centenary Company and Historical Company in 2012 and 2014.
