Imagine a land where the green of the hills is more intense, where thoughts and gazes are lost in the infinite landscape, between the high mountains and the calm sea. It is in this land full of magic that sinks its roots Terracruda, winery located in Fratte Rosa, a small village perched on top of a hill, on the border between the provinces of Pesaro Urbino and Ancona, in that region, the Marche, that never ceases to amaze the visitor.
An area that is a crossroads for the production of quality wines. In fact, it is possible to produce all three DOC wines of the province of Pesaro and Urbino: Bianchello del Metauro, Colli Pesaresi Sangiovese, Aleatico di Pergola. Terracruda has chosen to enhance only the native vines that best express the essence of the territory, starting the production of DOC wines and recovering ancient local grapes, now almost completely gone.
Vineyards cultivated with methods of low environmental impact, carefully selected and harvested by hand, respecting the land and its most precious fruit, the grapes, to give you a sip of this land every day.
The Terracruda Winery has recent origins, but the passion that animates it has ancient roots. Born from the union and the ideas of three partners who have followed their vocation believing in the potential of a territory, in which the production of wine was mainly made of a family character. Without forgetting its origins, but with an eye to the future, the project started in 2000 with the acquisition of over 20 hectares of vineyards, of which 10 already planted with native grapes, and 10 others regretted with local varieties, in particular the Aleatico grape, used for the production of the DOC Pergola. The activity took shape in 2005 when Terracruda Winery, under the guidance of oenologist Giancarlo Soverchia, began to vinify internally in a new and technologically advanced structure, with the aim of combining tradition and innovation. Terracruda is not only quality wines, but it is also and above all a philosophy of life. To offer you a 360-degree experience of the territory that hosts us, we have expanded our offer with the renovation of an old farmhouse, from which four independent apartments have been created. This is how Terracuda was born: an enotourist refuge to discover the art of winemaking up close, to explore the enchanted landscape, to go and taste the typical products of this land, to savor the slowly cooked foods in the "cocci", to know the ancient technique of working clay that, shaped by the expert hands of the artisans, is transformed into terracotta.
