Villa Merighi is located on the moraine hills that embrace Lake Garda, near Verona, and more precisely in the hamlet of San Giorgio in Salici.
The company includes a historic noble villa built by the counts Merighi in 1700, overlooking an internal courtyard surrounded by vineyards. The residence was built on the remains of a 16th century site belonging to the monastic order of the Augustinian Eremites.
Villa Merighi is a unique reality in its territory. It combines history, quality, modern vision and great passion for organic farming. Respect for nature and the search for harmony between man and the environment guide the production of certified organic quality wines since 1996 and it is obtained using only natural raw materials and adjuvants.
An organic wine that reflects the territory it belongs to and identifies the dreams, fatigue, wisdom and passion of those who produce them. The biological concept is designed to strengthen the union with the naturalness of the territory in its full correspondence, in the relationship with the typical expression of the vines and in respect of the quality and health for the man.
Villa Merighi produces typical wines with a strong territorial link:
- Custoza DOC
- Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC
- Bardolino Chiaretto DOC
- Bardolino DOC
- Rosso Verona IGT
- Metodo Classico Brut
At the end, the company has a small olive grove which provides a silky and delicate organic oil, with notes of almonds and scent of wild herbs.
